Jewish Genetic Disease Consortium. A comprehensive site covering a wide range of diseases that affect persons of Ashkenazi, Sephardic and Mizrahi Jewish heritage. The Canavan Foundation was a founding member of the Consortium. 

JScreen. JScreen is a genetic screening and education program offering comprehensive, at-home testing on saliva. 

Sarnoff Center for Jewish Genetics (formerly the Chicago Center for Jewish Genetic Diseases). Education, outreach and programming to the Jewish community about genetic health issues such as carrier screening, hereditary cancers and counseling services.

Medline Plus. A comprehensive site with information on all types of genetic issues, on a relatively sophisticated level. A service of the National Institutes of Health National Library of Medicine. 

National Tay-Sachs and Allied Diseases. Dedicated to the treatment and prevention of Tay Sachs related diseases, including Canavan disease. 

Sharsheret. A national non-profit organization that improves the lives of Jewish women and families living with or at increased genetic risk for breast or ovarian cancer.

Victor Center at the Niklaus Children's Hospital. The mission of the Victor Centers for the Prevention of Jewish Genetic Diseases is to ensure ongoing access to comprehensive genetic education, screening and counseling services.

Genetic Alliance. The world’s leading nonprofit health advocacy organization committed to transforming health through genetics and promoting an environment of openness centered on the health of individuals, families, and communities. They have a dedicated website for consumer information: Genes in Life.
